She always looked better... When I was a little girl, glitter was my favorite color. Then came pink and purple, but glitter was always first. When mommy would set out the arts and crafts for my little sister and I, I always would end up with glitter from head to toe. My mother would look at me and shake her head. "Shelby Nicole," she would say," what kind of a mess are you in now?" I would just grin because I knew she wasn't mad. I was a princess and people don't get mad at princesses. She would smile at me and pick me up and take me to the big bathroom in her room to get cleaned up. She would run the bath water while I sat on her bed, bouncing in excitement. Whats worth living for I love the way that I wake up in the morning to the smell of French fries. I love how they go perfectly with sunrises and morning dew and how all the mountains look blue in the distance. I love how you could look at me and just make me laugh without thinking about it. I love how you race to find a pen and paper when inspiration hits you; I love how it happens to me too. I love in the evenings how we sit and listen to music we've never heard, taste things we've never tasted and do things we've never done. I love how I can sleep until noon and you won't bother me at all until id had my morning coffee. I love how we can both grimace at the tasteWhats worth living for by ~shelbygriffin

Letter to me Dear Shelby, how are you. How is your life. There has been a recent discovery here on time travel so I'm sending this to you from the future. I just wanted to tell you that I'm alright here. I have friends and family, i have love and loss, I have that beauty that you are still trying to look for, but really, its always been there. I have a degree in happiness, I'm ignorant and bliss. I love life just as you should. I want nothing better for you and nothing less because, well, then there might not be me. I hope you get this, but I also hope you don't. If you do get it, who knows what could happen to me. Oh well, just thought I'd tryLetter to me by ~shelbygriffin

Checkers I learned a long time ago not to play to win, but this time, I had to win.Checkers by ~shelbygriffin
"King me!" my opponent typed, and a crown appeared on his piece.
"No!!!" I shouted, even though I knew he couldn't hear me, he was just a player in a box, an evil, evil box called the computer.
I thought and rethought every move before I made it, but this computer player I played against still managed to beat me!
"I hate online checkers," I muttered undermy breath, hearing my mom chuckle in response.
This was my third day without the internet, and I was so close to breaking. On my second day, I had discovered Solitaire and online Checkers. They were my life now, n
